If you only had $2.00 to spend for two per day on food, how would you do it?

A video about a couple spending 30.00 a month per person on food in the US, sparked my curiosity. They basically lived off ramen noodles and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and lost like 16 pounds in a month.

I decided to see how I could do but on a better nutritious scale. It was a little hard but possible. I did assume that salt, sugar, pepper, and oil, water was already readily available as well as a daily vitamin (to cover any vitamin deficiencies)

The problem I ran into was that you really had to buy in bulk (a two months supply to really average out to $2.00 a day and buy when on sale or on discount for things like meat, and milk.

But with that in mind here is what I could afford. I could cook at least 2 or more different dishes a day for 10 days then repeat it again until the 30 days were up. I was impressed. If you had 2.00 to spend a day, what would you spend it on.
