Why do Christians and other believers contradict themselves so much?

1. They are forced to embrace reason and logic yet many will also embrace non-science (aka faith). Many will just say "Oh you cant use science to believe, cos you need to have faith"

2. They are forced to forgive people because they have been taught that it is a virtue, but many are vindictive and spiteful and will take matters into their own hands (You've ALL got a little bit of terrorist inside you and you know it!)

3. They say you can't use human logic to understand god when it comes to things like natural disasters and other forms of suffering, yet they do know what kinds of foods he wants us to eat and what sexual positions he only allows and what kinds of partners he allows.

4. Some even have the audacity to claim they are educated. They argue for intelligent design, and cosmological first causes (mostly out of confirmation bias), yet they've never critically evaluated the responses. (Pseudo-intellectuals and theologians, I'm looking at YOU!)

5. Having deluded themselves into believing in a divine creator or designer, they then take the massive illogical leap further to declare without question that this alleged "creator/designer" actually cares about us and cares what we do, who we sleep with, how we sleep with them, etc.

Why are believers not content with contradicting themselves but they have to go further and make fools of themselves by parading their ignorance and/or delusion? Why is humanity still like this???
